The Arlington has a large collection of cups and trophies; the oldest trophy is the Challenge Cup for Graceful Swimming, dating from 1873.
The Roemmele family
One of our early members was Carl Hugo Roemmele, an iron merchant from Germany, who settled in Glasgow to run a business and raise his family.
